By looking at this way, we can distinguish most false category 5 / super category 5 lines. The characters printed on the plastic envelope of the real class 5 line are very clear and smooth, and there is basically no sawtooth. The handwriting printing quality of fake goods is poor, some fonts are not clear, and some are seriously serrated. Genuine category 5 lines are marked with "CAT5", super category 5 is marked with "5E", while fake goods are usually marked with capital letters such as "CAT5" and "5E".

2、 Distinguish from the resistance value of the network cable

This discrimination method is that we use the resistance gear or diode gear of the digital multimeter to measure the corresponding core wire of the network cable, and the obtained resistance value can be compared according to the parameters given below, so as to know the quality of the network cable.

The single core standard resistance of super class 5 all copper is 28 ohms, the single core standard resistance of super class 5 aluminum is 44 ohms, the single core standard resistance of super class 5 iron is 170 ohms, and the single core standard resistance of class 6 all copper is 21 ~ 23 ohms.

Cables with the same length and diameter: the resistance of iron is 7 times that of copper and that of aluminum is 1.7 times that of copper.

If the test resistance value of the whole box of super class 5 wire exceeds 30 ohms, it must be non copper or wire diameter is insufficient. If the test resistance value of the whole box of super class 5 wire exceeds 100 ohms, it must be iron. If the test resistance value of the whole box of class 6 wire exceeds 26 ohms, it must be non copper or wire diameter is insufficient.

3、 Distinguish from the flexibility of the network cable

Because the network cable with good texture is generally made of pure copper, and the network cable produced with pure copper should feel soft and full, and can be bent arbitrarily. After bending, it will slowly return to its original shape. In order to reduce the cost, some illegal manufacturers added other metal elements to the copper, so the wire is relatively hard, not easy to bend and has a sense of depression, It is not easy to restore the original shape after bending, and it is easy to break the wire in use.

4、 Distinguish from the flammability of the network cable

Generally speaking, the materials constituting the network cable must be resistant to combustion. Therefore, when selecting the network cable, we must check the flammability of the outer skin of the network cable to distinguish the authenticity.

In the specific test, you can first cut the outer skin of the network cable with a length of about 2 cm with scissors, and then burn it with a lighter. The outer skin of the genuine network cable will be gradually melted and deformed under the barbecue of fireworks, but the outer skin will certainly not burn itself;

You can find a section of genuine network cable and fake and shoddy network cable, and ignite them with a lighter at the same time. After a few seconds, the genuine network cable should only emit white smoke and gradually melt and deform with the passage of time, while the fake and shoddy network cable will be easily ignited in less than 2 seconds, accompanied by a large amount of black smoke.

5、 Distinguish from the fineness and purity of mesh core wire

Cut off the outer layer of the sheath, pull out the insulation, cut off a section of the conductor, and observe whether the copper color of the cross section is uniform. If it is pure copper, it will be uniform gold color; However, if it is mixed with iron or aluminum, or other alloys, you can see obvious white spots or black.

In addition, the surface of Conductor Copper burned by Yang fire will show that the external color will turn black while the internal color is still the same yellow. After wiping off the blackened part, the copper will still maintain its original color; But if it contains iron, no matter how you rub it, it is dark black.
