Network cable

Optical fiber is divided into multimode and single-mode. The distance of multimode transmission is longer than that of network cable, but shorter than that of single-mode. In 10Mbps and 100Mbps Ethernet, multimode fiber can support multi meter transmission distance; In 1Gbps gigabit network, multimode optical fiber can support 550m transmission distance; So multimode is less used now.
Compared with multimode fiber, single-mode fiber can support longer transmission distance. In 100Mbps Ethernet and 1g gigabit network, single-mode fiber can support more than 5000m transmission distance.
The devices used in the single-mode optical module are twice that of the multi-mode optical module, so the overall cost of the single-mode optical module is higher than that of the multi-mode optical module; The transmission distance of single-mode optical module can reach 150 to 200 km.
HDMI cable
HDMI high-definition multimedia interface is generally used on high-definition display. It can connect HDMI display and display. Now many network boxes can also connect TV through connecting cable to transmit audio and video signals.
If the general HDMI signal transmission is less than 30 meters, the transmission distance of wire with general quality is about 15 meters.
So how does HDMI transmit over long distances?

HDMI signal can not be directly transmitted to more than 30 meters with HDMI wire without other equipment, and there are almost no HDMI finished lines more than 30 meters in the market.
In this case, if only the HDMI signal is simply transmitted to the display device, and the HDMI signal does not pass through other devices, we can use the method of network cable extension signal and use the HDMI network cable extender to extend the signal. DVI cable

VGA cable has been widely used in the field of color display, but it is easy to attenuate, short transmission distance and easy to be disturbed. However, its transmission distance is stronger than HDMI and DVI, and its transmission distance of 3 + 4 / 6vga is 20-40m.
RS232 and RS4
1、RS232:
The transmission distance of RS232 is limited. The standard value of transmission distance is 15m, and it can only communicate point-to-point. The transmission rate is 20KB / s.
2. RS4 multi:
RS4 multi wireless transmission distance is 1219 meters. The transmission rate is 10Mbps, and the communication distance can be reached only at the transmission rate of 100kb / s.
