Introduction Of RJ45 Modular Plug

The reason why the modular plug is called the modular plug is because its appearance is crystal clear and translucent. As one of the most basic and inconspicuous peripheral supporting parts, its function and function are not small! It is suitable for field termination between equipment rooms or horizontal subsystems. Common crystal heads include RJ45 network modular plugs and RJ11 telephone modular plugs.

Today we mainly introduce the RJ45 modular plug.

The RJ45 modular plug is a plastic connector that can only be inserted in a fixed direction and automatically prevents falling off. It is a network interface specification. Both ends of the twisted pair must be installed with this RJ45 plug. It is mainly used in Ethernet to connect various network devices and play the role of data transmission, such as computers, routers, switches, etc.

The common RJ45 modular plug has 8 grooves and 8 contacts. There are two line sequence standards for wiring: T568A and T568B. The straight-through cables used now all use the T568B line sequence standard, while the crossover cable uses T568B at one end. Use T568A on one end.

According to the process, it can be divided into: one-piece, two-piece and three-piece.

The inner plug of the modular plug can be divided into: single liner, 4 up and 4 down, 6 up and 2 down, 3 up and 5 down

According to the style, the modular plug can also be divided into: long body and short body

According to performance ,the modular plug can be divided into: unshielded, shielded

Because the core diameter of the network cable with the national standard CAT5E and below is less than or equal to 0.5mm, it just meets our most common one-row modular plug wiring. With the continuous upgrade of Internet bandwidth requirements and links, Cat6 and above network cables have begun to become mainstream network cables, so multi-piece modular plugs with upper and lower structures have appeared, and single liner modular plugs can no longer meet Cat6 (national standard wire core 0.57 ±0.2mm) and above the structural requirements of high-speed network transmission cables, so there are up and down wiring methods and a variety of corresponding modular plug kits.

COBTEL will never stop on the road of pursuing quality! I also hope to bring you more practical knowledge of cable equipment.
